Lions, Tigers and Chemtrails, Oh my!

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

Since first being introduced to the topic many years ago, most have taken it with a large grain of salt, dismissing it as wild conspiracy theory.  Perhaps most of us were too hasty.  After several years of this idea floating around, skeptical eyes may be starting to open up to this idea.

Chemtrails

X-Pattern Chemtrail

It is easy for any one to see ‘Chemtrails’ on a regular basis.  They do behave as described by supporters of this theory.  First a pattern of ‘Chemtrails’ is laid down on a clear morning, followed, later by a very hazy day.  The haze has a strange unnatural ‘feel’.

Common ‘Chemtrails’

Many websites have sprung up that cover the topic in depth, some with wild claims.  A link to one of them is below.  In reality it comes down to two basic possibilities.  They are a normal result of air traffic, or they are part of some sort of government-sponsored program.

Chemtrail Central

It’s no surprise that the first option is the belief of ‘Chemtrail’ skeptics.  It is true that air traffic has steadily increased over the last several decades, but the problem is, that there was still quite a lot of air traffic 20 or 30 years ago.

If these ‘Chemtrails’ are a normal result of air travel then they should appear in film and video from 20+ years ago at least sporadically.  If there are such images or video, they are not readily available.  Certainly, there are individual contrails from that period, but the patterned ‘Chemtrails’ seem to be missing from the record.

Another reason that ‘Chemtrails’ may not appear in the past, is a change to the aircraft engines or the fuel they use.  There has been a change in the design of the engines over the last twenty years from turbojet to turbofan engines.

The second option is that it’s some sort of government program.  There is quite a bit of evidence to support this theory, but nothing concrete.  If it is a government program then there are basically two possible motives with the same result.

If the government wished to warm the weather, the greenhouse effect of haze would definitely be a good option.  Why would the government do such a thing?  The UN has been trying to gain more control over sovereign governments almost since it was formed.  The scare of global warming may just be the ticket they need.  If they can dramatize the effect by significantly warming the planet with ‘Chemtrails’ they just might succeed.

The second possible motive is a military program.  It’s no secret that the military would like to control battlefield weather.  Especially when the enemy would be hampered by the weather you created and you would not.  There’s plenty of evidence that the military would like to do this and there have been several patents filed that would seem to apply.

It’s also possible that both military and global government benefit from ‘Chemtrails’.  Perhaps it is a case of killing two birds with one stone.

Of course there are also those claims that fall into the ‘wild’ category.  These consist of various motives such as mind control or wholesale poisoning of the population.  It is possible, there is at least some precedent for these types of experiments on civilians.  One example that comes up frequently is the radioactive material that was scattered on the people during the 40s and the 50s to see the effect on people.

Human Radiation Experiments

Whatever the motive, the end result is changed weather.  Since ‘we’ are so concerned with global climate change why then is there no focus on ‘Chemtrails’ or contrails.  The effect of these is readily apparent and may have a global impact.

Certainly the greenhouse that is being laid above us constantly is more of an impact than that of CO2 released from our cars or the rear ends cattle.  Maybe there is no focus on this because it is in the best interest of those responsible for ‘Chemtrails’ to leave things as they are.

Furl-It, Swirl-it, Hurl-It?

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Ok, so this one is a little off-topic for Vorchester.com, but I couldn’t resist.  There seems to be a huge trend on the Internet that has reached the point of just being silly.  It’s called social book marking.  As far as I know, and I could be wrong, Digg was the first.

Digg is great, I love it.  Since, Digg, the name of which makes sense in my opinion, there have been countless others piling on to the fad.  Even the likes of AOL/Netscape have gotten into the act with Propeller.com

Running a website, one has no choice but to join in the fray.  I even considered, as a joke, vorchester-it, but I was afraid no one would get the joke but me so I didn’t do it.

So, I thought I would register a domain, as a joke.  Hurl-It I thought, you know Hurl (vomit).  Ha ha.  But guess what, it already exists and guess what it is, it’ a social bookmaking site.  Click here to see it.

I’m sure Hurl-it is a great site. And, I’m sure that a lot of good hard work went into it, just like the countless others on the Internet. But when is enough, enough?

With Digg, I get it.  Share a news story, great idea, I like it.  Ok, so maybe one or two social book marking sites makes sense, maybe even a dozen.  But there are literally hundreds of them, even Hurl-It.  Most, all I think, browsers have a ‘favorites’ button already, and they’re pretty easy to use.

Yeah, but then I can’t let everyone know what my bookmarks are, some might say.  Well, do we really care what others are book marking.  Maybe we do, but how many different sites do we need.

Perhaps I’m being to harsh.  Maybe there is a place on the Internet for this many social book marking sites.  Arm-pit-it, Butt-Crack-it maybe, or…, well you name it.  Someone will join in, I’m sure.  Think of any word, add ‘-it’ to the end and stick it on a button, and there you have an original social book marking site.

Hey, I know, cram-it.  Nope the domain is already gone.  Perhaps another social book marking site is in the works.  We can only wait and see.

Top 10 Alien/UFO Sites

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Well here it is, after many years of research the top 10 UFO/Aliens websites on the Internet.  When it comes to the topic of Aliens and UFOs, there is no shortage of websites, but it is actually difficult to come up with 10 good sites.  So many out there are just plain not good.  Due to obvious conflict of interest, Vorchester.com isn’t included in the list.  In reverse order.

10.  UFO Seek (Search Engine)

9.  NUFORC (Raw UFO Reports)

8.  MUFON (Raw UFO Reports)

7.  Wikipedia.com (Encyclopedia)

6.  EarthFiles (Linda Moulton Howe)

5.  About UFOs (Good Information)

4.  Coast to Coast (Where is Art Bell?)

3.  Above Top Secret (Popular Bulletin Board)

2.  UFO Digest (Original UFO articles)

1.  UFO Evidence (Very good research information)

Some questions that might come up.  Why is Wikipedia in the top ten.  Well the answer is, there is great information available there.  No research into the topic of UFOs would be complete without at least a casual look into what’s available on Wikipedia.  Sure it is heavily influenced by skeptics, but that keeps the information clean.  Whenever pure UFO enthusiasts are responsible for the information, we must admit, the claims can become a little wild.

There are a few sites on the list that are not pure UFO sites but have enough on the topic to qualify.  Those would be Earth Files, Coast to Coast, and Above Top Secret.  Though not devoted to the topic of UFOs, on all three of those sites, UFO information is provided on a regular basis.  The only problem with Above Top Secret is that it is essentially a bulletin board and is has become so busy that it is difficult maintain a meaningful discussion on any particular topic.

So what did I miss?  You tell me.  If there’s one out there that I missed, I’d love to know about it.

Ancient Symbology of UFOs

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

A recent story featured on Vorchester.com described the link between symbolic written language across the continents.  This story questions how this could be possible since intercontinental travel did not exist (presumably) at that time.  How is it possible that this could occur?

Did an Ancient Language of Universal Symbols Exist?

Another question that remains from the historical record is that it appears that man went directly from drawing animals on cave walls to a complete written language in one quantum leap.  There appears to be no sign of an evolving language process.  One day we just suddenly gained the ability to express our thoughts in written language.

This first language is called Cuneiform and it appears in Sumerian writings around 3000BC.  The Chinese are trying to capture the title of first language with some turtle carvings from an earlier time, but they are more similar to the cave drawings of animals.  Here is an example of Cuneiform.

Sumerian text

You can see from the appearance of the text that it is very similar to other forms of ancient writing found around the world, and if it is first, it would be the father of most if not all of modern day language.

Now to the link with UFOs/aliens.

According to the hotly disputed translations of Zecharia Sitchin, the Sumerian civilization was heavily influenced by aliens and is, among other things, the source of their writing.  One of the other things he asserts is that the aliens are from a supposed 10th planet, Nibiru, which is on a highly elliptical (3600 year) orbit around the sun and is believed by his followers to be due back very soon.  Of course there is no concrete proof that this is true, I’m sure many true believers are convinced that it is accurate.   Whether or not the 10th planet is true or not is sort of beside the point.  The point is the assertion that aliens/UFOs are the source of their language and alphabet.

You can read more about Sitchin as his website.

There have been UFO reports throughout history, many showing up in famous paintings, cave drawings, and even written text from the middle ages.  Many cultures seem to include at least some reference to them in their religions or their folklore.  It is the more recent, more detailed reports that seem to link UFOs/aliens with a form of writing that is very similar to the original Cuneiform texts.

Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John

The first report comes from Aurora, a small town in Texas.  Aurora is about 70 miles from a town many of you will recognize right away, Stephensville, Texas, where earlier this year there was another major sighting.  In Aurora on April 19, 1897 there was a report of a UFO that crashed landed just outside of town.  The report stated that the charred remains of small-bodied creatures were found among the debris.  It was noted that the craft was destroyed, but a small fragment was found.  “Some of the debris also revealed material sketched with a type of hieroglyphic.”

Aurora, Texas UFO Incident

The second report is the famous UFO crash of 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico.  This famous case also included reference to hieroglyphic style text found on an I-beam from the crash debris.  The number of high ranking military officials who have come forward in recent times to confirm this case make it difficult to dismiss.  Though the US government still officially denies that this was anything other than a weather balloon.  More on the witnesses to the Roswell UFO crash can be found here.

Brigadier General Roger M. Ramey (kneeling) and chief of staff Colonel Thomas J. Dubose

The third case comes from Kecksberg, PA on December 9th, 1965.  Recently it has been suggested by NASA that the source of this object may have been a Russian satellite.  According to witnesses, there was writing that resembled hieroglyphics in a band around the base of the object.  It is possible that the witnesses could confuse Russian writing with hieroglyphics.  A monument to the incident has been erected.  The UFO monument, in the shape of an acorn, bears hieroglyphics as was reported by witnesses to the event.

Kecksberg, PA - UFO Incident

The fourth case, and probably the most interesting case ever, possibly a close second to Roswell, is the Rendlesham Forest incident from December 26th, 1980 and spanned two days.  The incident occurred near two RAF bases in Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk, England.  This event was witnessed by and reported by military personnel.  One of the witnesses of the object wrote in his logbook about symbols that appeared on the craft. The reference is about 8 minutes into the video. This very interesting incident was covered in depth on an episode of Larry King. It’s a 4 part video, below is part one, more can be found on YouTube. It is definitely worth watching.

The final case I will include is the most recent and most dubious of all of the sightings.  The so called drones that have made appearance in several places across the country also include a style of writing that might be confused with hieroglyphics.  These sightings remain questionable until more information/evidence comes to light.

It is possible that a hoaxer chose to include hieroglyphic style writing on the object to give it more authenticity.  A man name Isaac came forward and provided more information, a link is provided below.  Until there is some hard evidence or even possibly some verification of Issac, this incident will remain a mystery. Here’s a photo of one of the objects.

Drone

CARET Program

If a hoax, the documents that appear on the Isaac page are very well done.  Though possible, it’s difficult to believe that this could be the work of one person.  If not authentic, the most likely source would be government disinformation or viral marketing to promote a movie or new video game.  At the very least, this incident deserves a lot more investigation.

So it appears, at least on the surface that these modern day sightings seem to confirm the position that the Sumerian society and language and that of others around the world may have been influenced by aliens.  Of course it is still possible that it is a great big hoax, but that position is becoming increasingly difficult to defend.

If aliens exist and they have been in contact with our civilization, then it only stands to reason that they would have had at least some influence on our society.  If Zecharia Sitchin is correct, it would explain why similar languages appeared throughout the world without any apparant link between the civilizations.

If it’s true that they have been in contact with us, then there are some big questions that remain.  Are they still in contact with us?  If so, who are they in contact with?  Perhaps the answer is, that they are in contact with the most secretive of all governments, our own.
